Self-Care Powered By The Wisdom Of The Moon
Any self-care or beauty therapy that you do will always be enhanced or improved by aligning it to the Moon Phase and Sign that most closely matches how you want to feel. Doing this is a game changer in the practice of Self-Love and living “The Soft Life” with more ease and grace.
For the second year in a row, I am doing a Lunar Wisdom & Self-Care Challenge during the waning phase of the Last Moon Cycle of 2022-2023. Each Lunar Year is made up of 13 moons and this cycle usually crosses over the calendar year, gifting us with a Second New Year on an emotional level after the ball drops on January 1st.
We are amid a massive emotional energy shift that I want to help support you through, because it can enhance the upcoming renewal we will experience for the Lunar New Year on January 21st, with the New Moon in Aquarius♒️.
Too many of us report feeling tired and foggy towards the end of the month because our reliance on technology has caused us to disconnect from the natural emotional energy cycles in play. Good thing is that technology and a quick trip outside to look at the night sky, can help us all get back into flow. And when we do, we will not be confused by the messages from our (feminine, receptive) body but able to count it as body intelligence and wisdom.
Over the next 14 days we can use the moon’s dimming light to care for our bodies (the feminine/yin) and rest our minds (the masculine/yang). The goal is together to mirror the fading light of the moon with nourishing actions and practices that help us to reset our nervous system after the intensity in the build-up the final full moon of the year in the watery, sensitive sign of Cancer.
We are receiving an energetic assist to let go of all that does not serve us from 2022 on an emotional and environmental level. And this is always the Wisdom found in the Waning Phase of the Moon, but even more pronounced during this final transition.
Every Lunar Cycle ends with the Waning Moon phase, which lasts for around six days. This is when we may experience a Full Moon Hangover from all the energy we just experience at peak light. The last quarter moon is incredibly sobering after all that intensity that the full moon delivers. It's time to focus on healing, letting go, and finding our motivation once again."

Sundays are all about self-care and indulging in what our ego wants and needs. Every week this should be a day you use to check in on yourself and really find a time where things can be “all about you” unapologetically.
We need to learn to understand that pausing, recharging our batteries, and resting are all actions we take - despite them not being product driven. They are necessary things that we must do to remain in balance and to hear what our bodies are communicating that our mind is missing while busy.

Tuesday 1/10
We are now in the third day of the Waning Gibbous🌖 phase of the lunar cycle. This part of the cycle goes from two🌖 days after the moon reaches full illumination🌕until the Last Quarter phase🌗, so this energy will characterize the week. The moon is currently at 90% illumination.
Each day as the moonlight fades with the Waning Gibbous phase the call to slow down and recharge becomes greater within our bodies. This is what we experience as a sense of extreme exhaustion, brain fog, aches and pains or even illness or as I like to call it dis-ease in the body that literally force you to stop powering through!
This makes the waning phase of the moon is ideal to engage in any self-care practices that will allow you to relax, unwind, and recharge. Because it supports us in working with and surrendering to the natural energetic cycle of rest and recuperation after great activity!

It is 1/11 which is an energetic portal focused on the energy of 1 with new beginnings and renewal. The moon is now at 84% illumination and dropping.

The Last Quarter, happens nearly a full month after the New Moon, stands for change, completion, and letting go. It also only lasts for 24 hours so its potent and swift. We’re now about 12 hours into this phase and the sign of the moon will change before the phase does in the late evening.

How are you feeling? We have reached the Dark Moon phase and I don’t know about you but I’m feeling the drag energetically.
