CAPRICORNโ๏ธโโ, OUR HIGHEST POTENTIAL & THE WINTER SOLSTICE๐ฏโโ๏ธโ
December 21st is the shortest day of the year and is known as Yule in the Wheel of the Year. It is also the same day that Sun moves into the 10th sign of the Zodiac - Capricornโ๏ธโ, The Sea Goat. It is also the start of the Winter season โ๏ธโ in the Northern Hemisphere.
At 4:38 PM EST we will have the exact astronomical event of moving into the fallow season by experiencing the Winter Solstice. Remember Solstice is the Latin word that means sol (sun) + sistere (stopping). The sun seems to halt abruptly for approximately three days.
We are all being encouraged to connect with our highest potential โ our skeletal system โ particularly the knees โ which provide the body structure and form by holding us up and in shape. These the body parts that Capricorn rules and it helps us to understand how this sign is associated with the rules, traditions and foundations. This is why Capricorn is associated with our Super Ego and our sense of what will be best received by the public at large โ this is the sign of reputation.
Capricorn is Cardinal/Influencer sign โ which means that it kicks of a season and brings with it action-oriented, leadership energy. Capricorn is the leader of Earth๐ฑโ signs and has the ability to lead with a cold and dry quality that helps them highly effective and dispassionate leaders able to make decisions for the good of ALL.
Capricorn is the Father of the Zodiac, connecting us to all the places we can go when we aim high. Check out my video and the rest of this blog to learn more about how to make the most of Winter 2022-2023 โ with its short and dark days and potent BOSS Mode vibes under the Capricorn Sun.
Capricorn Seasonโ๏ธโโStellar Planning Focus
We now have a Stellar Planning Focus of the winter months to make the most of the Sun at its low point of the year.
We are now in the 10th 30ยฐ section or house of Zodiac Wheel or roughly a 30-Day period, known as Capricorn, The Sea Goat.
Capricorn energy represents all things career, public reputation, highest potential, traditions, structure and The Father. Itโs the resetting of the Zodiac and the Wheel of the Year with Cardinal/Influencer energy to start the season that tunes us into the concrete Earthy๐ฑโโ vibes of doing the final pieces of construction on our physical Empire with the help of Saturn, The Father.
โIts important to remember that entering Winter season asks us to slow down and go within to make things of physical value and importance during the dark days while the Sun is low and regaining its strength.

Mythology of Capricornโ๏ธโโ
The constellation of Capricorn and the Sumerian god Enki were frequently linked in prehistoric Sumeria.
But it is the ancient Greeks who gave us the complete picture of Capricorn as we know it now. Cronus was a Titan and the father of the gods in Greek mythology.
Cronus was aware that one of his offspring will unseat him, just as he had done with his own father, Uranos.
He therefore devoured each of his and Rhea's offspring as soon as they were born. Before they could mature and pose a danger to his authority, Hestia, Demeter, Hades, Poseidon, and Hera were all sucked up.
When Zeus was born, Rhea wanted to give Cronus a kid to play with, but instead she wrapped a rock in blankets.
Zeus was nurtured by foster parents while being hidden away in a cave. The myth comes in a variety of forms.
Zeus was nourished on goat's milk in every account, whether he was reared by a goat-caring nymph named Amalthea or Adamanthea in one or by the goat herself (also named Amalthea) in another.
When Zeus was old enough, he freed the Giants and the Cyclopes, Cronus' imprisoned brothers, who gave him control over thunder and lightning. Zeus was able to dethrone Cronus and make him spit out Zeus' siblings with their assistance.
Later, the goat's horn evolved into the Cornucopia or Horn of Plenty. In some renditions, the Golden Fleece that Jason and the Argonauts sought for was made out of the goat's hide.
Zeus gave Amalthea the constellation Capricornus, the Goat, in the sky as a token of gratitude for caring for him as an infant.
All About Winter Solstice - YULE๐ฏโโ๏ธโ
The Winter Solstice is the First Day of Winter, Longest Night of the Year, Full Shadow, and itโs time to get into the current darkness-filled Solstice Energy grounding.
This marks the beginning of Winter (in the northern hemisphere) and the beginning of Summer (in the southern hemisphere.) On this shortest day of the year, the length of time elapsed between sunrise and sunset is at the shortest interval.
Of course, daylight saving time means that the first Sunday in April has 23 hours and the last Sunday in October has 25 hours, but these human adjustments to the calendar and do not correspond to the actual number of daylight hours.
So itโs important that remember the natural cycles of this planet because they direct the feel of our energetic container and tap into the darker and slower power season of this Solstice season. Especially with how disconnected we are to the natural world with all of our technology and time indoors.
Take for example the upcoming Winter season, the environment around us gets colder, dryer, darker and slower. Leaves have fallen from trees, there are no plants to harvest and it gets dark between 3 and 4 pm until at least late February.
If we look at Summer as Mother Earthโs bounty during the time of the Sun in Cancer, then Winter is Father Timeโs creative ground during the time of the Sun in Capricorn.
We must give the Solstice our energy, intentions and serious purpose. This is what activates our power to manifest a dazzling world and a superior tomorrow.
Winter is a time to do internal work since weโre fully into the shadow seasons of the year. With the absence of light, we want to go inward to address our foundations and structures that will support.
Embrace your bodies slowing down, the desire to be indoors and nurture your longings, dreams, and aliveness like the light of a candle. If we keep it lit throughout the season we can warmly greet the future that is being conceived and bloomed through our energetic investment.
Yule is the final celebration of light of the calendar year and helped ancient people walk into this shadow season without fear because they could harness the power of fire until the long days returned.
Notice how most holiday traditions around this time, regardless of culture, focus on the light. This isnโt an accident but a natural outpouring of the energy centered between the Solstice and the Equinox (March) a descent into darkness.
What are you making an energetic investment will you make to yourself and foundation over this Winter?
