Last Quarter Moons only happen for 1 day, during the waning phase of the Lunar cycle, where the light is fading and the moon goes dark 🌑 . This 24 hour period can become a magical game changer in your manifestation practice. It is also a great fixed point to check in from a Stellar Planning perspective and make adjustments according to how you feel (the moon).

Lunar Cycles are 28-29 days in total. During the las 14 days of the waning phase 🌕🌔🌓🌒🌑 its time to release and let go of any attachments to the seeds planted or intentions set. This is the Yin or feminine receptive portion of the cycle where we need to let the energy do the work for us and get into observer mode.

This particular phase is also characterized by low energy and extreme tired as the moon light drops below 25%.

This Last Quarter Moon in Cancer♋️ brings us to the final moon phase before the beginning of Fall Eclipse Season and to the waning phase of the Aries♈️ Harvest Super Full Moon.

Cancer is the great mother spirit, and Libra is the goddess of love. Moon phases during the Libra season are socially significant, bringing about changes in our interpersonal interactions.

When the Moon is in Cancer, we think of motherhood and our matrilineal line. We watch how our ancestors swirl over time, nestling in our hearts and spirits and shaping who we are becoming moment by moment. The way we were mothered influences how we mother. Is it simple and natural? Painful?

This is the energy the Last Quarter Moon calls us to release and to gather our knowledge from the previous cycle for the journey ahead. In addition, to seeing the manifestation of the recent Virgo New Moon and the 2 Aries New Moons from March and April - 6 months ago - we are closing out one Eclipse family and starting another.

We will experience the final Taurus and Scorpio Eclipse with the October 28th Lunar Eclipse with the Taurus Full Moon after the kick off of the new Eclipse family in Aries and Libra on October 14th with the Solar Eclipse Libra New Moon.

Cancer and Libra work together to promote self-care (Cancer) and open communication (Libra). We turn inward, like the crab, into our shells, into the womb, so that we can turn outward, courageously, with a song on our lips, on the wings of Libra's breeze.

Upcoming Eclipses & Applying The Lunar Wisdom Formula

In working the Lunar Wisdom Formula, I don’t recommend doing ritual work or charging crystals during the eclipses, so this is a pivotal time before that energy fully begins. We need to lean into the favored actions during a waning Moon phase – which is releasing energy, light and intentions to allow for things to materialize.

Solar eclipses are times for new beginnings, while Lunar eclipses are times of endings and culminations. This time around the Solar energy will call forth manifestations from what you ended on the May 5th, 2023 with the last Scorpio Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of that cycle. Expect to see a possible new beginning connected to actions taken at that time. This can also be a time to initiate or start things that help you progress and move forward and prepare for the clearing that will come with the final Lunar Eclipse of 2023.

The current Astro Weather creates a great container for what will happen when we experience the Solar Eclipse – marking the midpoint of Libra Season and helping us reconcile the lessons of the 2023’s gift of 2 New Moons in the sign of Aries. This is the beginning of a portal opening to a new timeline focused on Aries/Libra issues.

The eclipse season has here, showing the old patterns we've outgrown. Understanding the meaning and physics of eclipses is crucial because it allows you to perceive the wider cycles and patterns that occur every 18 years.

Mercury and Venus Change Signs♍️♎️

The peak of Retrograde Season 2023 is over with the personal planets Mercury and Venus now direct and out of post shadow transit. We are now experiencing them shifting signs after extended stays in Leo and Virgo which will impact the areas of thinking/communication (Mercury) and love, money and attraction factor (Venus).

Mercury the communicator ends its shadow period and enter balanced Libra on Wednesday, October 4. This is encouraging us all to truly listen to the other person's point of view before jumping to conclusions or talking over them. Even if you "agree to disagree," maintain civility. Diplomatic chats might help you mend your connections.

Mercury entering Libra supports everyone's ideas shift gently to balance, alliances (not simply romantic ones), and justice. Words can be used to promote peace. People are more tactful in dialogues, avoiding the foot-in-mouth syndrome and trying for mutual understanding.

This is an excellent period for collaboration - imagine joint enterprises, team projects, and pooling those brilliant ideas. Collective efforts are preferred, with the group's voice frequently holding more weight than individual ones. It's all about finding a happy medium throughout this transit.
