Aries♈️: The Warrior, Spring Equinox & Astrological New Year🎉

This weekend we got to celebrate my favorite celebration of the year, The Spring Equinox bringing us equality of day and night and the Sun moving into the Sign of Aries♈️ which is the start of the Astrological New Year of 2021.

I spent it in nature by the water on my first vacation in year and it was so restorative, hence the reflection. Yet as we move into Aries season and the new year it is important to think about how to use this potent energy to use the Spring time energy of initiation.

The Astrological New Year is also known as Astrology Day is observed by all astrologers on the 20th or 21st of March, which is when the chain of sun signs is said to begin. This year it occurred on March 20th following 2020’s Leap Year that had this day rarely occurring on March 19th (along with all the other craziness that happened in 2020).

The first day of the astrological year is also the first day of the sun moving into Aries the first sun sign. It marks the exact day when the equinoxes appear - the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere, and the fall equinox in the southern hemisphere.

After the long night of the soul that is Winter, native peoples around the world await this day when the sun gives us equal day and night.

One thing that people don’t focus on about Astrology is how it marks and frames each season and points to the favored activities and actions to take during the time.

There are always three zodiac signs for every one of the four seasons. As we moved into Capricorn and Winter Season with the Winter Solstice on December 21st, we started a 3-month cycle of cold and darkness that would end on the first day of spring.

The brightness of the Sun and the hope of planted seedlings that we nurture from March to June 21st bring us a Summer’s bounty come the Summer Equinox and Cancer Season. It brings one closer to the universal force, which allows one to broaden one’s mind to new sensations and possibilities.

So it is a good way to banish the winter blues by celebrating the astrological year ending with Pisces, which saw its last day on 20th March, and to welcome the newness that comes with beginning of the new astrological year. So let’s get into what Aries season is bringing us in 2021

☀️Aries The Ram

⭐️1st House Ruler

⭐️Element: Fire 🔥

⭐️Essence: Cardinal

⭐️Motto: I AM

⭐️Archetype: The Warrior

☀️The symbol for this sign is the ram - often times just its head. The ram stands alone at the top of the hill ready to take on the world below full of desire and the curiosity of a beginners mind. This is because we’ve returned to the beginning of the Zodiac and must learn over the course of the next 12 months the lessons of each stage. Aries is known as The Warrior archetype.

♓️Its glyph represent the head of the ram leading the way forward. This is because Aries is a natural leader, initiator and rules the head on our bodies. People call Aries natives head strong - which they are! This first sign of the Zodiac is Cardinal (Leading) energy and is a reflection of how it brings the start of the new Spring season and the warmth of the 🔥fire element.

☀️Today is also the Spring Equinox, The Astrological New Year 2021 that bring with it equal day and night and longer days on the rise. We are shifting from The Pisces Mystic sensitivity to The Aries Warrior strength needed for a seedling to push its way through the ground towards the sun!

♈️ You will probably find that you’re get up and go has returned to you. Well that is if you have recovered from our clocks springing forward last week. Nonetheless use the powerful initiation energy that the Aries season brings to start making real the dreams you’ve nurtured over the winter.

The First Sign Aries & The Warrior

Aries the Ram (March 20/21 to April 19/20) is called the first sign of the Zodiac. We think of the beginning of the year as January, because that’s the start of the new calendar year. But this is the Zodiac year, remember, and is governed by matters more celestial than mundane!

March 20th or 21st is the Spring equinox, which signifies the beginning of the Zodiac year. And when you think about it, this makes sense. Spring is the time of renewal and rebirth.

If you are born under this sign, you can tend to have the same traits as a young ram. Enthusiastic, adventurous, forthright and energetic. You’re courageous and confident. You could be a little impulsive though, right.

Maybe something of a daredevil. Where the world be though, without daredevils, willing to strike out and do something completely different. Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most famous Aries ever born.

Think of some other famous Arians, such as Thomas Jefferson, Booker T. Washington, Francis Ford Coppola, Jane Goodall and Marlon Brando. None of them afraid to break new ground; all of them changed the world or their chosen fields in some way.

People born under the Aries sign are passionate lovers and intense friends. They risk driving people away with their intensity and need partners that can match them without fueling the fire and creating explosive situations.

Arians make good doctors, athletes and explorers. This isn’t to say that people born under the sign of the Ram are all action, though. They have a softer, lamb-like side as well and if you’re an Aries, make sure you draw on this side of yourself as well when dealing with other people.

You may have difficulty in certain jobs, because you’re an idea person and the person to get things started rather than finish them up. Surround yourself with people who can supplement these traits and you’re sure to be a success.

Aries Natives – Strength In Action

The Aries people behave like a ram in many ways. A ram likes to be the leader of the group. Likewise, the Aries individual will try his best to stay ahead of the pack and lead it where he wants it to go.

Aries are very opinionated, and do not often consider others feelings. They will do anything to sway the group to their side. Those born under the Aries sign need a constant challenge in order to maintain their interest in life.

They are impulsive, and more inclined towards making quick decisions than fully completing a task. This is why you will often find an Aries with several unfinished projects on his or her desk.

Aries people are sometimes hard to deal with because they have a quick temper and very little patience. They may get irritated with you, but luckily, they aren’t interested in holding grudges.

Their short fuse can be attributed to their ruling of the planet Mars, who is the God of wrath and war.

Aries individuals do not use subtleties or hints to get their point across. They are direct and wear their heart on their sleeve. However, attempting to guide or supervise them is quite a task, and requires a very blunt and headstrong approach.

The Aries never backs away from a challenge, even if that means having to batter his head against the wall. Aries individuals will lead others to face their own troubles yet never gloss through the details of the work involved. They would rather be involved with the rocky boulders than the pebbles at the bottom.

In short, Aries are quite adventurous and need space to act independently. This is the energy that we need to take into the rest of March and April to make good use of this fiery push of initiative.
