FIRST QUARTER MOON IN CAPRICORN♑️🌓 & THE WISDOM OF THE RETROGRADE POST SHADOWS✨
Today may be marked by a strong energetic shift as we have the First Quarter Moon in Capricorn at 8:14 pm EST and Mercury Stations Direct in Virgo.
We are at the half-way point to the Full Moon in Libra♎️🌕and we now begin the Post-Shadow or integration period of Mercury Retrograde. This post will help you to work with these emerging energies in the best possible way as the moon waxes to Full.
First Quarter Moon🌓Lunar Wisdom Formula
As we make our way to the end of 2022, I’ve decided to blog about each of the 4 major monthly moon phases to amplify my own Lunar Wisdom Practice.
The Moon🌕 is the most visible and tangible aspect of Astrology that we can actually see – besides the Sun☀️. It’s fast movement through all the signs of the Zodiac is visible at any time if you watch the sky for Luna’s position to change.
The Moon has the greatest impact on our emotions and environment in astrology, so I think it is one of the best tools for Stellar Planning EVER!
But let’s get back to the Lunar Cycles!
First Quarter Moons happen for 1 day, during the waxing phase of the Lunar cycle, where the moon grows to Full 🌕. It’s time to initiate and take inspired action!
Use the growth of the moonlight to power your intention as it heads towards full potential.
Remember that Lunar cycles are 28-29 days in total. During the first 14 days of the waxing phase 🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕 its time to plant the seeds of your intentions and fertilize them with effort.
Take advantage of this phase to bring dreams to life and get serious
Feel into your desires, refine your plans and then move forward certainty towards the Full Moon🌕.
What to do this week:
🌙 Feel into your New Moon intentions so you are comfortable with how they will fit into your life
🌙 Map out your action steps for bringing your intentions into your life
🌙 Give yourself some mental space to really notice how you are feeling and what you are thinking. This could be through doing a walking meditation or going into nature and just being.

October will be a truly transformative month due to the upcoming Eclipse Season for the Scorpio New Moon. This Cardinal lunar cycle will be the last that we have before the eclipse take over through November and bring with them world changing events. Our emotions will take a leading edge with all the influence energy and Capricorn archetypes ask us to take care of business.
We have an opportunity to reap greater harvest then at any other time during this lunar cycle And First Quarter Moons🌓 help us to gain the clarity we need for the week leading up to the Full Moon🌕.

When to manifest your magic
The best time to work your magic is when the Moon is Capricorn or on a Saturday (Saturn’s day) or during Saturn’s hour
The First Quarter Moon in Capricorn takes place when the Sun is in Libra and the Moon is in Capricorn. It knows that true success comes from the heart.
The Wisdom Of The Post Shadow Phase
The periods just before a planet goes retrograde and just after it goes ‘direct’ again (in other words, the retrograde cycle ends), are known as the shadow phases.
For example, the Pre shadow phase of this current Mercury Retrograde (8/22-9/9) – gave us a chance to prepare for its effects and in some cases see the set up for miscommunications to come.
On October 2, 2022, Mercury goes ‘direct’ which means the backwards motion stops – but we’re not out of the woods yet! That’s because a retrograde path is like going 20 miles out of your way only to realize you have to turn around to get back to exit where you took a detour and only from there can you get back on the right path.
These shadow phases mean that the effects of Mercury retrograde or any retrograde - go on for much longer than the actual retrograde period. We are also currently in the Pre-Shadow of Mars Retrograde which begins on October 30th.
But there is wisdom and integration that can come from the post shadow phase (sometimes called the ‘echo’). It is during this time that you can really begin to process its effects. You want to walk lightly and remain in observer mode about any new plans or desires while you allow the dust to settle.
So remember that when planets go direct it’s not the end of the Retrograde phase or learnings - IT’S THE MIDDLE!
We must complete the Post-Shadow or Integration phase which is where we can apply what we’ve learned during the backwards motion to anything that has gone haywire.
