☀️​The symbol for this sign is the only feminine symbol in the entire Zodiac the Maiden Virgin. She is full of beauty, innocence and a love of the people and the world around her. She also has a curious and critical mind that is always questioning in an attempt to make things better. Virgo is known as The Analyst archetype.

Virgo (August 22/23 to September 22) is a often misunderstood sign that are often underestimated. Virgos are universally considered to be very buttoned-up, methodical and detail-oriented. Meticulous and reliable – hence The Analyst archetype.

Anyway, for an archetypical Virgo, are intelligent, kind-hearted and often deeply focused on nature, health & wellness and work & service. This fact would explain my own strong interest healing and why I became Psychotherapist & Integrated Health Coach on top of being a psychotherapist, because I personally have 4 planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Uranus) in my 6th House (Ruled by Virgo) and 2 planets and my North Node in the sign of Virgo.

The Maiden symbol can echo the shy and innocent appearance many people get off of classic types. Remember Virgo is the only zodiac sign represented by a woman! In fact, old school descriptions in Western Astrology conjure the image of a bookish librarian with a bun and glasses.

Virgos really bring that Earth Mama energy for those who know them well. But many people describe them as cool and aloof. But that’s only on the outside as they are often hiding great depth emotion that is almost too intense and unsettles their digestion regularly. Traits of The Virgin♍️​​

Shy, reserved, and sensitive, Virgo is complex, intellectual, and perfectionist. Virgos tend to be punctual, organized, and disciplined. People mistake their shyness to believe that Virgo is also cool and uncaring. Nothing could be further from the truth, as Virgo is almost as sensitive as Cancer or Pisces.

Its either shyness or their active critiquing and need for order that tend to complicate things for Virgos in relationships. There can be this assumption that their reserved nature is a request be left alone and keep their distance. Do try to see past this because Virgos wants company, but she’s picky about just who that company will be. And even then, she will be more comfortable chatting about work or current events than anything personal.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, which means Virgos are ruled by their head as opposed to their hearts. They tend towards skills in logic and analysis, making them quite capable scientists, writers, and editors. When they set out to do something, they set out to be the best.

Unfortunately, the perfectionist strength of Virgo is also her greatest weakness. Virgos tend to be their own worst critics, beating themselves silly until either they achieve their goal of being the best or they quit in frustration. That same critical streak can interfere with relationships, as well, since many partners don’t appreciate the perfectionistic criticisms that can come from their Virgo partner.

This means that the few people who manage to break through the Virgo’s shy and cool exterior are often presented with someone who expects the same level of perfection from them that they expect from themselves. This tendency if left uncheck can be the root of poor digestion, anxiety, intestinal problems and OCD. This is also the origin of Virgos reputation for keeping a neat and clean house, possible with a refrigerator organized by item size, temperature and expiration date.

Virgos tend to dress in ways that compliment both their shy attitude and their perfectionist outlook. They don’t wear colors that will draw attention to them, and their clothes will match. They tend to blend into the crowd, never one to want the limelight. This is a sign known for modesty and a desire to serve others that cannot be matched!
