AQUARIUS NEW MOONโ๏ธโ๐ AND LUNAR NEW YEAR 2023๐งง๐ฒ๐โ
By the end of this week, 2023 will officially begin. We shall experience the Aquarius New Moonโ๏ธโ๐, which marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year๐งง๐ฒ๐, as well as Mercury and Uranus turning direct.
The following twelve months, especially the next three months while all the planets are direct, give you plenty of opportunity to decide how you want to celebrate the change and what you want to grow. There will be a significant change, and it begins now.
The emotional intensity that Saturday begins with could help you identify any final items you need to let go of so you can advance with the practical new beginning being offered by the Aquarius New Moon, which happens at 3:53 pm EST.
Then, on Sunday, two crucial events take place. At 5:58 p.m. Eastern, Venus and Saturn align in Aquarius before Uranus turns direct. Both of them aid us in overcoming any remaining sluggishness so that we can move forward apace the next week.

Aquarius New Moonโ๏ธโ๐
Making a choice on how to respond can help you let go of some anger and resentment during this New Moon.
This is the time to act, if something has been bothering you and not going your way. However, I also encourage you to look at the underlying force of WHY this is taking place. Tell yourself, โI'm going to choose a fresh strategy for dealing with this."
This New Moon contains Mars energy as we are closing out the Mars Retrograde post-shadow period โ alongside the newly minted Mercury Rx post-shadow. When dealing with Mars energy, it can either be this abrasive energy that burns down houses or clears the entire field, depending on how you are operate.
Or it maybe itโs like a volcano that erupts, transforms the terrain, and has the power to produce enchanted mini-islands. This is similar to the Hawaiian Goddess of volcanoes, Pele who created the island chain from her volcanic lava eruptions.
Or perhaps it develops into this inner drive that pushes you towards taking action, typically a good thing (though it can also be towards revenge).
Get to the bottom of this feeling when you work with this moon if you find yourself erupting like a volcano or feeling like burning everything down. This is a time that you can find yourself more bound or release yourself from chains. And then consider how you may channel that enormous quantity of energy into something that would help you advance.

Lunar New Year 2023 ๐งง๐ฒ
The Lunar New Year is one of my favorite holidays as a feminine energy expert. The moon is the feminine planet of the Zodiac and who doesn't want another chance to restart and reset their year?
Although we don't adhere to this celebration as much in the western world, all across Asia this is the beginning of the spring festival and the start of their new year. I find it interesting how other cultures have not shifted to a Solar/Yang or masculine system for tracking time the way that we have in the western world.
I love that that means that other cultures have not erased aspects of tracking and following natural cycles from the way in which they observe time and its passage. And while I am an astrologer trained in western techniques, I have a great appreciation for Chinese and Vedic astrology and their traditions.
That is one of the reasons why we are talking about the Lunar New Year. the other reason is the fact that it is a restart and reset for us environmentally and emotionally. Because I follow The Lunar Wisdom Formula year-round, it is crucial that I track where the moon is in her daily weekly monthly and annual cycle. And it is my absolute joy to help other people do this so that they can tap into the moon's awesome power.
The New Moon๐โ is the start of a two-week yang/masculine/action oriented cycle that leads to culmination with the Full Moon๐โ. We want to engage in self-care from the end of the full moon until the new moon cycle begins so that we're rested up and ready to act. Once the moon starts growing in light again, we have a natural boost to help any plans that we put in place grow and expand exponentially.
At the New Moon we plant a seed and spend the next two weeks watering and fertilizing it with actions and intentions. So that once we get to the full moon, we can allow the seed to do what it is meant to do naturally, grow towards the sun.
Think about this for a metaphor around how you go about achieving your goals and notice that the major difference here is that we pause our action at a point to allow nature to take its course and earth to recuperate. This is what is meant by living us soft life! We can't be on all the time!
Traits of The Rabbit๐ฆโ๐โ
This Lunar Year is the year of the Water Rabbit continuing with the 2nd year of the water element in the procession. In Chinese Zodiac the Rabbit is the Fourth sign โ similar in profile to a Cancer in Tropical Zodiac.
Rabbits are one of the more emotional and sensitive signs. Emotionally delicate, rabbit people dislike busy or aggressive situations. They will shy away from competition and opt instead for spending their energy arranging their private space in the world.
Those born under the sign of Rabbit have a natural ability when it comes to decorating and entertaining. They have an eye for color and interior design, and are wonderfully adept when it comes to planning the minute details of a beautiful event. They always know the perfect place to put that couch, and the perfect thing to say.
Rabbits are the care-takers of the Chinese Zodiac. Rabbit people enjoy caring for those around them. They make great listeners and are usually the confidant of many.
Thoughtful and personable, Rabbits are ideally suited to serve as politicians, ambassadors or diplomats.
Rabbits fit in well in the world of culture and high society. They are well mannered and enjoy the finer things in life.
Because of their sensitive nature, Rabbits get along well with many people, however, in the depths of their hearts, they are reserved and usually prefer to spend their time quietly engrossed in intellectual pursuits.
The gentle nature of those born under the Rabbit make them timid and anxious. They are not risk takers. A rabbit much prefers the routine and known to the unknown.
Sometimes this will lead the Rabbit to miss or pass up new experiences or a good opportunity. They will almost always choose the safe route.
To the Rabbit, there is nothing more important than calm and security. Although, when they are passionate about something, a rabbit will step out of her den and show the strong, confident and unwavering side of her nature. Rabbit people are patient and slow to anger.
